Living Stone: This is a paradox. Stones are a dead, inanimate object. Yet that is what apostle Peter refers to Christ and his followers as. We are like a living stone laid side by side, on top or below each other to build a house. Jesus is our CORNERSTONE in which every stone is being laid upon. Side by side and on top of each other, each stone is being laid to build a (spiritual) house, to be a holy priesthood, and to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ!
