Serving Since: 1995DonateVertical Tabs AboutA Vision Formed in Nicaragua Joel and Jeannie lived and ministered in Managua, Nicaragua, from 1996 through 2013. While in Nicaragua, Joel helped found the Nehemiah Center. The Nehemiah Center identifies, encourages, and connects Christian leaders for the social and spiritual renewal of their communities, equipping them with an integral biblical worldview. Eight mission and development agencies work together as part of the Nehemiah Center. The story of the Nehemiah Center is told in Carol Van Klompenberg's book, “On Mended Wings: Transforming Lives and Communities in Nicaragua.” Expanding the Vision to Other Countries and Continents The vision of connecting and equipping Christian leaders for the spiritual and social renewal of their communities has now spread to twelve other cities globally. These cities are located in five different continents. In December of 2013 Joel and Jeannie moved to Dallas, Texas, so that Joel could better coach this growing transformation network. Joel and Jeannie’s vision is for Gospel-shaped people and communities to join together in movements to make our global village a radically better place. About Joel & Jeannie Joel was a trial attorney in Grand Rapids, Michigan, before he joined Resonate Global Mission in 1995. Jeannie has her master’s degree in teaching English as a Second Language. Joel and Jeannie have four children and eight grandchildren. Thank You We praise God for His work around the world and the privilege of serving Him. Thank you for your prayers, generosity and support for our ministry with Resonate Global Mission. Together, by God's grace, our efforts are transforming lives and communities worldwide. Thank you.
