Back by popular demand! Modeled after the former “Day of Encouragement”, the initial Moving Forward in Faith Conference in November 2024 was a well-attended, much-appreciated event. As part of their mandate to inspire individuals, churches, and communities in mission, the organizing partnership of Diaconal Ministries Canada and Resonate Global Mission is excited to announce they will once again host this conference.
To be held at Kings Christian Collegiate in Oakville, Ontario on November 14 and 15, 2025, the conference will begin Friday night with a keynote session, worship, and social time. Danielle Strickland will be our featured speaker. Danielle will share her story, shaped by her experience of different cultures and contexts around the world. She aims to inspire, challenge, provoke, and disrupt - giving equal attention and investment to the proclamation and demonstration of God’s Love.
Saturday will feature worship, a selection of workshops and an optional bus tour, each carefully designed to equip and empower attendees of all ages as they consider God’s mission in their lives and communities. Workshops will focus on sharing practical resources, skill-building, storytelling, and networking. The conference theme and verse identifies our calling as churches and Christians to step out into the world carrying the message of salvation.
Designed to equip and empower attendees of all ages as they consider God’s mission in their communities and the world at large, this event is co-hosted by Resonate Global Mission and Diaconal Ministries Canada. It features good news stories from across the North American Continent and opportunities for learning and sharing.
The conference theme “The Church Released” and the theme verse, Matthew 6:10 identifies our calling to be and make disciples in his name. God is doing great things within our region, our churches and our denomination. We are chosen by God to walk alongside his vision for the world and play our part in its transformation.
