Rick Van Manen

Vision

For the past fifteen years I have been engaged in campus ministry. I believe God has called me to journey with students and faculty throughout their academic lives with all of its joys and challenges. Since all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found in Christ, it's my conviction that Christ goes ahead of us into university and college campuses around the world, campuses which have wisdom and knowledge as their central focus. In the academic context, Christians embody Christ on campus through faithful scholarship, prophetic critique, and practices of loving hospitality, mercy, and justice. 

Mission

Currently I'm serving at Kosin University in Busan, South Korea. I work mostly with International graduate and undergraduate students. I provide pastoral care to students as well as host meals and facilitate conversations around scripture and faith. I also teach and train international graduate students for full time ministry in their home countries.
