About Ken and Anita
Vision
We were called to God’s mission in 1987. Beginning in 2002, that calling led to the development of a school for (mostly) Cambodian-Americans in Philadelphia, which we led for 15 years. In that role, and at Spirit and Truth Fellowship (CRC), we have loved using our gifts to serve others and encourage leadership. Here in Nicaragua, God called us to teach and develop students into future leaders, as they grow in following Jesus.
Mission Field
Our mission is to support Christian education in Nicaragua through our work with Nicaragua Christian Academy International (NCAI). Anita is teaching third grade, returning to that joyful place after many years in school administration. Ken is assisting with SOAAR (Students of All Abilities Recognized) program, inclusive special education services for children with disabilities, and learning Spanish.
NCAI seeks to provide “Academic Excellence with a Christian Foundation” for children of missionaries, native Nicaraguan students, as well as youth of diverse nationalities. In addition to this primarily English language school, NCA has two schools teaching primarily in Spanish, serving over 1,000 students in all.
