Anastasiya Plekhava

My Story

As I finished LCC International University, I have been praying that God opens the next door and puts the desire in my heart that will be aligned with His will on my life. Due to my tense schedule at work and school, I found myself hungry for more ministry and work with people, as I always want to help those in need and bring about changes in and through the name of Jesus. It was then that my leadership mentor introduced me to Resonate Cohort. After spending three months in prayer and debating what future I should pursue, I realized that the small pieces of my dreams, prayers, gifts, and previous experiences would come together perfectly in the mission field. I believed it was God’s call into my life. I decided to participate in the one-year mission in Berlin, fully trusting that the Lord will put me in a strategically right place where His vision for my life will be fully embraced. I am open to whatever God has for me and ready to be the one who offers the love of Jesus Christ to people around me. 

Mission

Cohort Europe offers a year-long missional experience in which participants serve in local European ministry organizations and connect with other Cohort Europe team members to learn together, support each other, and grow spiritually. 

I will serve with the Berliner Stadtmission (Berlin City Mission), a more than 145-year-old Christian organization in Berlin, ministering primarily to those who are often forgotten in the city. In addition, the Stadtmission has more than 15 congregations throughout the city of Berlin, including the Welcome Church where I will primarily serve. I am excited to serve people from different cultures, ages, social and religious backgrounds in accordance with their needs. 

Prayer Requests

• Pray for wisdom, safety, and emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being 
• Pray that the Lord is evidently present through me, the missionary group, and the congregation in discovering and responding to the needs of society 
• Pray that the Lord opens the eyes, ears, and hearts of those who witness God’s goodness through the missionary work
