The Christian Reformed Church’s is growing in diversity among those of African, Chinese, Hispanic, Indigenous (including Native Americans), Korean and Pacific Islander/Southeast Asian descent. Leaders of each of these groups will give highlights of the Spirit’s ongoing work among these various cultural/ethnic groups.

Church Between Borders is a three-part interactive workshop for groups to learn about the Biblical call to welcome the stranger and consider what that means in our current context.

The Christian Reformed Church is involved in a number of relationships with Reformed denominations in East Africa. Leaders of these denominations will describe the blessings they are experiencing as well as the challenges of ministry in such countries as Ethiopia, Kenya, South Sudan, and Uganda.

This workshop will explore how Christianity has struggled to disrupt injustice and inequalities in society and how this problem lies in a betrayal of the mandate ‘to proclaim’ the gospel, misnaming our place in the world in terms of mission rather than bearing witness.
