My Story

In 2016, God called me to use my art talent to create a ministry focused on interactive or hands-on art for a primarily secular audience. I design art projects that reflect the beauty within us and inspire hope. By creating a safe space, the artmaking process helps each participant feel valued and included. This year, this work has impacted almost 1,300 individuals through our programs—including sex trafficked teens, incarcerated teens, profoundly handicapped children, veterans with PTSD, and survivors of trauma. I’m grateful to God for the opportunity to make new friends through these various collaborative art projects. While aiming to live counter-culturally with a spirit of generosity, I need His wisdom and grace to effectively reach the next generation with the gospel message of Christ Jesus.

Mission

I will be serving as an event speaker and facilitator for a retreat for single mothers hosted by a church in a First Nation community on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. This will contribute to the retreat’s focus on Healing our Hurts and Hearts. In addition, we will be sending each of the retreat participants home with a set of art supplies to continue expressing their hearts through art.
