CRC churches all across Canada are more and more reflecting the mosaic of Canada’s multicultural heritage. As we continue to grow as intercultural and intergenerational churches, God gives us greater opportunities to welcome and share spiritual journeys with people from all over the world who have moved into our communities as immigrants, sought safety as refugees, come to study as students, or traveled to work here in seasonal jobs.

How can you be a good neighbor, friend, and witness for Christ to your neighbors who come from a different cultural or religious background?

Resonate Global Mission, Classis Toronto and Classis Hamilton leaders invite you to the 3rd Annual Diaspora Leaders Retreat from 4 PM August 15 through 1:00 PM August 17, 2024.

We urge all Classes within Eastern Canada to sponsor at least one of your leaders to attend this enriching experience to further advance your church’s ministry with people who come from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds, who want to be better equipped and inspired for ministry.

You are cordially invited to join us for this 2-day retreat of fellowship and learning, as we worship, share stories and learn from each other about prayer, discipleship and being a true community. This transformative event will feature enlightening discussions, inspiring testimonies, and stories of God's work in our congregations.
Key ideas Include:
  • The Challenges and Blessings of Being a Multicultural Church
  • Navigating Cultural Differences in Worship and Ministry
  • Empowering Leadership in a Multicultural Context

We believe that this wave of Diaspora renewal that we are seeing happening across the region is just the tip of the iceberg of what God is doing here and across Canada. We want to uncover, join, learn from, and encourage what we see God doing in diaspora ministry.

Our goal is to encourage each other to grow in reaching the lost who come from every nation of the world into every region of Canada, for the glory of God. The best workers in this harvest for Christ are interculturally-trained members, be they the newest Canadian arrivals or those a few generations already adapted to our North American culture.

$100 per participant for 2 nights accommodation and 6 meals at a beautiful venue! Grants are available for those who would like to attend but are unable to cover the cost (offered in the registration form).

We are grateful to Resonate Global Mission and several of our regional groupings of CRC churches (classes) who have committed grants to keep this cost low.
