One of the great needs of our day is leadership training that is affordable, doctrinally sound, and effective. The church is growing rapidly in many places around the world. However, leadership to sustain that growth is often lacking. Resonate Global Mission partners with the Timothy Leadership Training Institute to bring affordable, biblical, and effective leadership training around the world.
- TLT is in more than 57 countries
- TLT Manuals have been translated in over 27 languages
- There are over 1,200 certified TLT Master trainers from numerous denominations
- Over 3,000 participants took part in TLT trainings in fiscal year 2014-15. This number could be significantly higher as this number only comes from reported trainings.
Who are TLT Trainers?
Trainees become Basic trainers after they complete the first three manuals of TLT including the 4-6 month written action plan and report at the next training session on the results of action plans for at least the first two manuals.. They receive a Basic Trainers Certificate upon completion.
Trainers become Master Trainers by completing all six manuals, including at least the first four of the 4-6 month action plans. Upon completion of their training, Master Trainers receive certificates during a group celebration. Master Trainers are asked to multiply the training by training and certifying others in coordination with their local training hub.
A number of Resonate missionaries use TLT to train leaders around the world.
What are the Modes of Training?
Training can take place in several ways. Flexibility is needed to accommodate the trainees and their situations. Trainings are facilitated by a TLT Basic or Master Trainer.
Event-based weeklong sessions where 2 manuals are covered in 4-5 days. Three sessions are held at 4-6 month intervals with the same training group. During this one year period, the six manuals are studied in depth. Participants work through the lessons and learn to make good Action Plans. After 4-6 months, the same people meet together again. They report on their Action Plans and then go on to study the next manuals.
Event based weekend (or weekday) sessions where 1 manual is covered in 2-4 days Participants work through the lessons of one of the manuals and create their 4-6 month action plans. After 3-6 months the same people meet together again. They report on their Action Plans and then go on to study the next manuals. The entire series can be covered in 18-24 months.
Church based weekly sessions are usually held in local churches. Trainees complete one lesson a week as they work their way through each manual. They finish their study of each manual with the 4-6 month written action plan and report. The entire series can be covered in 2-3 years.
