East Asia Regional DirectorServing Since: 2012DonateRegion: East & Central AsiaVertical Tabs AboutVision We see the Lord prompting His people to participate in Spirit-led mission locally and globally. God graciously invites His humble servants in the Christian Reformed Church in North America and beyond to follow the Holy Spirit to engage in missions in the region of Asia. We see exciting developments and opportunities in Asian societies and churches in the past 40 years. Asia is not the Asia of yesterday. Asia is bursting with economic and population growth, yet its long history, culture and religions continue to challenge our mission endeavors. Christ our Savior, however, calls His Body, His Church worldwide to faithfully follow the Head of the Church, seeking the lost and discipling the called until the Lord returns. Mission As an East and Central Asia regional leader, Paul will support and work with the missionaries the Christian Reformed Church in North America has sent out to this region by visiting them annually for supervision, accountability, pastoral support and collaboration. While in Asia, Paul will also offer various ministry training (such as Timothy Leadership Training and Educational Care Training) with and for existing and new mission partners. Central Asia is a pre-region to explore for the first time. Paul will identify new opportunities for CRCNA volunteers and partner missionaries. He will continue to develop potential collaborative relationships in both East and Central Asia with Korea mission groups within and beyond the CRCNA. About Paul and Suelan Paul and Suelan both grew up in Korea, but moved to the United States later in life. Paul attended Calvin College, graduated from Calvin Seminary, and was ordained in the CRC. The Yus served as missionaries in France for some time before moving to Korea. There, Paul taught at a seminary for international students. Suelan is an artist (painting).
