Country: CambodiaServing Since: 2014DonateRegion: South & Southeast AsiaVertical Tabs AboutVision Many young Christian leaders in Cambodia are first-generation believers. While they possess many gifts and a genuine enthusiasm, many feel alone and are not sure where to turn for personal support as well as contextually relevant models for their ministries. Furthermore, they face a rapidly changing context as the country urbanizes and modernizes, and Christians make up only about 2% of the population. I sense that God has called me to encourage and support these young leaders. I have done this for the past two years at New Life Fellowship, a church in Phnom Penh. Through the dormitory and youth ministries, I have seen the Gospel take root in the lives of young people, and in this time, God has also deepened my love for Jesus Christ and for the Cambodian people. I believe God is calling me now to expand my role to serve the broader Cambodian church. Mission The focus of my work will be to walk alongside of young Cambodian leaders as they discover what the Gospel means for them in their contexts. This ministry will take a variety of forms. Some of it will include one-on-one mentoring or coaching with young leaders, and other times I will be leading more formal trainings to empower Cambodians to apply an integral biblical framework to their lives and work. I will also continue to have a close relationship with New Life Fellowship and support many of the young leaders I know there already. My work will be varied and challenging, and yet I know that God’s presence and power are firm and secure. In the end, God builds the church, not me. I seek to rely on God for direction and to discern where God is at work in Cambodia so that I might join in. Thank You I praise God for His work around the world and the privilege of serving Him. Thank you for your prayers, generosity, and support for my ministry with Resonate Global Mission. Together, by God's grace, our efforts are transforming lives and communities worldwide. Thank you. Right on my heels was our dog Belle, her mouth holding a bright rubber ball. After tossing Belle’s ball down our dead-end street a few times, I struck up a conversation with a guy from several houses down who was also enjoying the evening breeze. We had never met, but chatting about my well-behaved dog was an easy way in.CONTINUE READING March 19, 2019Driver for Change“I’m not the pastor. I’m just the temporary leader, and I want to stress temporary,” Rumduol told Resonate Global Mission missionary Justin Van Zee. In rural Cambodia, many families struggle to make ends meet. There aren’t enough jobs, and most families rely on subsistence farming to produce enough food for their families. Those who do have a harvest leftover earn measly profits in the market.CONTINUE READING more Contact InfoAddress: PO Box 1761 Phnom Penh CambodiaEmail: jstnvnz@gmail.comLinks: Visit Justin's Blog, Seeking the Kingdom Prayer Letter Sign-up To subscribe to our prayer letters, provide your email and we will add you to our distribution list.
