Also known as “Vision Trips”, these opportunities will be hosted directly by the Resonate Global Mission missionary on the field. These trips give you a general orientation to the broader ministry and our partners. You will experience up-close connections with one or several of those ministries, seeking to build a closer relationship within a few communities. This can include prayer ministry teams where team will focus on exposure to, learning about, praying with, and supporting the ministry on the field
Specific ministries and locations can include:
- IMPACT Clubs Monte Plata - ICRRD (CRC-Dominican Republic) “Monte de Olivos”, Pica Piedras, La Romana
- ICRRD “Duquesa”
- COCREF-CMTD alliance, including. “Belen” in Guaricano or “Nueva Creacion” in Bienvenido
- Cultural/historical sites including the Fortaleza (note flags and bullet holes), Museo del Hombre Dominicano, the main cathedral, Ingenio Nigua, etc. covering the history of conquest, colonialism, Roman Catholicism, slavery, immigration, and current international issues.
Committed to Christ. Ages 16 and above. Must be a Canada or U.S. resident. Willingness to work under the leadership of the community. Flexible individuals dedicated to serving and interacting with fellow Christians in a culture different from their own. Conversational Spanish helpful but not necessary.
The cost for in-country food, travel, and lodging is between $75 and $100 USD per-person per day, depending on the kind of ministry assignment, lodging, team size, etc. and will be worked on in consultation with all parties.
A tourism option will be available on a case-by-case basis for those who want to enjoy the tropical island’s many natural and cultural attractions.
