Do you have a passion for rennovating buildings? Are you a skilled carpenter, plumber, or electrician? Handy with tools? Barrio Abajo, a CRC church in Honduras, needs your skills!
Resonate is seeking to send a service and learning team from a church or a school to work with believers of Barrio Abajo. They recently acquired new property in a new neighborhood of Tegucigalpa, the capital of Honduras. They want to move their church to the new building and create a space where they can better serve their neighbors—but the building needs some work!
Church leadership said that the new property has plenty of space to worship, run activities for their church community, and develop programs for engaging their neighbors. Many of the structures are old, however, and in need of repair. Will you join the team and help them rennovate their church building so they can be the hands and feet of Christ in their new neighborhood?
There are both major and minor repairs you could help with.
You will be working in a temperate mountain climate. Temperatures climb to 80-90° F during the day and to 70°F at night. Housing will vary between a local hotel and on-site accommodations.
Resonate and Barrio Abajo is seeking to organize a multigenerational team from a church or school. We need a group of people with skills in masonry, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, and other related skills. If you want to send a team, please fill out the contact information below or email Gillian Bruce at firstname.lastname@example.org.
