My Story

God has prepared me for this opportunity through my relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds, my fervent passion for missions, and my experiences in various missions, as well as my background in church-based development leadership.

I'm looking forward to working with and learning from mentors and individuals who have heeded the call and gone before me in faith and ministry. I am looking forward to serving and learning from and alongside young people like me from different parts of the world with different backgrounds and experiences. I am looking forward to growing in my faith.

Ever since I found out I was moving to Hungary, I kept asking one question: "God, what is your plan and purpose for me being here?" I have always kept my eyes open to what the answer to this yearning might be. This opportunity and everything else happening around it only point to the hand of God. I believe He is opening this door.

Mission

Cohort Europe offers a year-long missional experience in which participants serve in local European ministry organizations and connect with other Cohort Europe team members to learn together, support each other, and grow spiritually.

I will serve with several local organizations ministering in Budapest. The Reformed Church of Hungary is the largest Protestant denomination in Hungary and has ministry to refugees. St. Columba’s Scottish Mission, an English-speaking congregation in Budapest has a variety of worship and discipleship activities. I will also be involved in campus ministry with Károli Gáspár University, the university operated by the Reformed Church in Hungary, with a growing number of international students. I am looking forward to learning experientially about the love of Jesus to me and other people in the world around me.
