The Glocal Mission Summit has been designed to be a fast-moving, participatory event that isn't full of long presentations and sleep-inducing lectures. The evening session on Thursday and later start time on Friday and Saturday help make it easier for attendees to participate from multiple time-zones, including overseas.
The event consists of three types of sections:
Each plenary session will focus on a different part of Acts 1:8 and Luke 24. These sessions are typically about one hour and are more than just a lecture. The plenary session consists of three elements:
- a brief time of reflection and prayer
- a presentation from one of our plenary speakers
- a panel discussion featuring 3-4 of our storytellers
After each plenary session, we will break off into groups for table conversation. God's mission isn't the responsibility of only pastors, missionaries, and ministry leaders. It is for all of us. These table conversations give you an opportunity to discuss your own experience with others and share in the work that God is doing in all our lives and communities.
The conversations will be facilitated by a host and will relate to the topic of the plenary session that preceded it.
God's mission is vast, and there are so many ways to join in it. These breakout sessions let you find the topic that best fits you. Select from sessions on church planting, creation care, evangelism, and diaspora ministry. There is a variety of options for you to select from.
