    Mirah (name changed) was born into a Christian family but as she grew up and looked at the world around her, she began to ask herself, “is this faith really worth it?”

    As a Palestinian Christian, Mirah regularly witnesses the pain that religion can cause. What’s more, many of the questions she had about her faith were going unanswered. All of this led her to renounce her faith in Christ.

    Before fleeing her home in Cameroon, Genevieve* worked as a nurse. As a refugee living in the Saint Laurent borough of Montreal, Quebec, however, Genevieve found herself unable to use her nursing skills to make a living for herself and her three children.

    Montreal is the largest city in Quebec and has a rapidly-growing population of immigrants. This provides many opportunities for Christians to be good neighbors.

    Amidst the coffee, corn, and cattle in the rolling mountains of Honduras’s Olancho region, the Holy Spirit has been preparing Rigoberto Juarez for ministry in an unlikely way.

    Juarez left his hometown of Mangulile for gang life at a young age. His activities in the gang led him to fear for his own life. Vulnerable and helpless, Juarez fled back to Mangulile, where he eventually joined the church.
